Your Local Mechanic – Volvo Specialist now has full access to Volvo VIDA — Volvo Cars factory diagnostic, technical information and software platform used by Volvo dealerships.

This level of factory access is extremely rare outside the Volvo dealer network, making us one of very few independent Volvo specialists in Victoria and Australia with full VIDA access.

That means access to the latest Volvo factory diagnostics, repair procedures, technical information, wiring diagrams, and OEM software downloads and programming — right here at our workshop in Ocean grove.

We’re incredibly humbled by the trust our customers place in us.

Last week we had the privilege of welcoming a customer who travelled all the way from Launceston, Tasmania to our workshop in Ocean Grove, Victoria.

That meant boarding the Spirit of Tasmania and making the overnight journey across Bass Strait, simply to have his Volvo XC60 repaired by us.

After struggling to find the confidence and support he was looking for locally, he chose to make the trip because he wanted someone he could trust with his vehicle.

Thank you for putting your faith in us Tomas. It was a pleasure to meet you, and we’re honoured to have been able to help.

Maintaining your vehicle properly isn’t cheap… but neither is replacing an engine due to poor maintenance.

Good quality oil and regular oil changes are essential to keeping your engine healthy.

This is unfortunately what lack of maintenance looks like inside a 2019 Honda CR-V engine.

This 2022 Mazda BT-50 4JJ3 had a terrible noise with the engine running.

Our diagnosis traced the noise to the air conditioning belt tensioner pulley.

Removing the A/C belt and running the engine again eliminated the noise, confirming the diagnosis.

Sometimes, the simplest tests are the most effective when it comes to accurate diagnosis.

Don’t panic… it’s supposed to look like this.

To replace the sunroof curtain motor on a 2019 Volvo XC40, the roof lining has to be lowered for access.

It’s one of those jobs that looks dramatic, but with the right knowledge and care, everything goes back together exactly as it should.

That’s why specialist knowledge matters.
