Nothing like a bit of friendly competition to get the jobs moving…

Just a normal Thursday arvo in the workshop — plenty of banter, a little competition, and tyres still getting out the door. 💪🛞

🛞 **WHAT IS YOUR TYRE WEAR TRYING TO TELL YOU?**

Your tyre tread can tell you a lot about what’s happening with your vehicle. Uneven wear isn’t always just a sign that your tyres are getting old — it can point to pressure, alignment, suspension or rotation issues.

🔹 **Worn in the centre**
Often a sign of **over-inflation**. Too much pressure can cause the centre of the tyre to do more of the work.

🔹 **Worn on both outer edges**
Often caused by **under-inflation**, putting more load on the shoulders of the tyre.

🔹 **Worn on one edge**
Can indicate a **wheel alignment issue**, particularly incorrect camber or toe.

🔹 **Feathered / saw-tooth tread**
Run your hand across the tread — if it feels smooth one way and sharp the other, this can be a sign of **incorrect toe alignment**.

🔹 **Cupping / scalloped patches**
Uneven dips around the tyre can point towards **worn suspension components, wheel balance issues or excessive movement**.

🔹 **Front tyres wearing faster than the rear**
Very common, especially on front-wheel-drive vehicles. Regular **tyre rotations** help even out the wear and get more life from your tyres.

🔹 **One tyre wearing differently to the others**
Worth getting checked! It could indicate an **alignment, suspension, pressure or mechanical issue**.

✅ Even tread across all four tyres is what we want to see.

Regular pressure checks, rotations, balancing and wheel alignments can help you get the most life possible from your tyres — and sometimes catching an unusual wear pattern early can save a tyre before it’s too late.
