There were some little hooves thundering down the Oakbank straight at this year's Easter Racing Carnival as the pony racing was back! 🐎

A huge congratulations to Rosie, ridden by Jaycey Eatts from Strathalbyn Pony Club and sponsored by Justin Pickering Racing, who took out the win in front of an excited crowd. 🙌

The atmosphere, the future stars of racing and the excitement around the track made it such a special part of the Easter weekend.

The Oakbank Racing Club acknowledges and thanks Arabella Branson for her outstanding contribution and leadership over the past eight years, including three as Chair.

As Arabella’s professional and personal commitments grow and demand more of her time, she has made the decision to step down from her role with the Club. Her commitment and impact have been significant, and we wish her every success in this next chapter.
The Club is pleased to welcome Barney Gask back as Chair.

Barney is a familiar face to many of our members and racegoers, with a long and valued history of involvement with the Club and the wider community. We look forward to his continued leadership and contribution.

The Committee will consider any additional changes in due course.

The Oakbank Racing Club extends its sincere condolences on the passing of Barry Brook.

Barry was a familiar and respected figure at Oakbank over many years, with a deep connection to the Club and the Easter Carnival. A dedicated trainer and a true participant in the spirit of country racing, Barry’s presence around the stables and on race days will be greatly missed.

He was part of the fabric of Oakbank — a well-respected gentleman in our community who we all enjoyed sharing a race day with.

Our thoughts are with Barry’s family and friends at this time.

What an incredible Easter weekend at the Oakbank Races! 🐎

We were treated to amazing weather, enthusiastic crowds and some fantastic racing across both days - the perfect way to celebrate such a special milestone.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us in marking 150 years of Oakbank. From racegoers to participants, partners and supporters, you helped make this year truly unforgettable. We were also honoured to welcome the Governor, who joined in the celebrations and added to the occasion.

Here’s to 150 years of tradition, community and great racing. 🥂
