Keiren’s Torana hit the hubs today to sort a few little issues.
I originally tuned this one about 5 years ago on the old Roller Dyno.
It’s a 403 cube LS, backed by a Glide and Salisbury.

Tyler’s VY hit the hubs again after fixing a few fuel system issues.
In keeping with his budget build, Tyler made the turbo kit himself, using a Pulsar G42 1200.
The LS1 Manual runs on E85.
On 6 - 7 psi it makes 585hp, with high boost making 12.5 psi.
Should be fun on the back roads!!!!

Adam’s Berlina hit the Dyno after our Summernats break.
A baby Procharger provides boost to the Cammed 98 pump gas LS1. A beefy TH400 sends power to the stock rear.
A bit of belt slip sees boost drop away early, but still a solid effort from the little 5.7 litre!!!

Matt’s VF Ute was in for a blower kit.
The Auto machine already had a baby Cam and basic exhaust system.
Matt opted for a Harrop 2650 to boost up his L77, running on pump 98 fuel.
As with most upgrades, I enlisted Willsy’s Performance to fit the kit, and then onto the Dyno this morning.
A nice streetable combo with plenty of power for fun!!!!

Vicki the VY was back on the Dyno after a few mods/upgrades.
The TH400 was swapped out for a 4L80, with reverse pattern, full manual valve body and trans brake.
Up front, Martin is still running the same Dart 427, Higgins LS7 headed mill.
The new Harrop 2650 MK2 CNC blower replaces the standard model TVS 2650.

The extra boost and Airflow from the upgraded blower certainly does the job!!!!

Josh brought his VN burnout machine in for a run in and tune after a recent rebuild.
After running the LS1 in and tuning some of the part throttle stuff, I gave it a quick WOT pull.
The RPM is not correct on the screen, but this power occurs at a low 6100 rpm.
Mr Pumpies is just not made for this kind of power and boost, so Josh will take it away and slow the blower down, then bring it back for final tuning…..
It’s always nice to have more power than you want, and have to turn it down!!!

Craig’s LS powered BMW hit the Dyno after a combo change.
Now running an L77 6 litre with just a Cam swap, this combo replaces a Turbo LS1.
This one runs much cooler than the turbo setup for those track days and hill climbs, and it doesn’t make much less power either…

Brock brought his VF in for a tune after recently fitting a new engine.
Turbo system with Pulsar 4202 and original LS3 engine was built and tuned by a shop up in Sydney. Apparently it made over 1000hp with over 20 pounds in it.
The original LS3 met its demise, by way of a split bore. Brock’s mate Chris bolted together an Iron 6L, reusing the BTR cam and LS3 heads from the dead engine.
Flex tuned, on 98 it makes 642hp on 9 pounds, or 720hp on 12 pounds.
With E85 in the tank it makes 705hp on 9 pounds, or with the Eboost on SP3 makes a respectable 906hp on 16 pounds.
Could it make more??? Yes of course, but it just doesn’t need to.

Rod brought his VF Ute down from Goulburn for a few additional cubes and some extra ponies….
Working together with Brad from Willsys Performance, we came up with a plan for a Stroker using Rod’s 6L L77 block, a Callies rotating assembly, topped with Higgins CNC ported heads and a Fast LSXR intake.
Brad also fitted an upgraded clutch to handle the extra grunt.
Not many NA LS’s crack the 500hp mark here, and very few would have the mid-range grunt that this thing has.
I just love a strong NA donk making this amount of Hergatrons!!!

Luke’s VK Blue Meanie has been on and off the Dyno a few times.
From a dead fuel pump to a stuck open injector, this one sure had its fair share of problems. The last time on the Dyno, low oil pressure necessitated a deeper look into the engine.
Brad from Willsy’s Performance discovered a bunch of issues in the LS1 block. A new block was filled with the usual suspects. Brad tidied up a lot of issues in the bay before the engine was put back in.
I’m sure Luke will need a friend in the tyre game, as this thing will make light work of those rears!!!

Some cool cars from the past few weeks.
Danny’s super cool old school LS1 Vortech blown Monaro, followed by Anthony’s Turbo 6L GTO.
Justin’s VE GTS Turbo LS2, then Gary’s VY Turbo and finally Dale’s VF Maloo that we just fitted an LSA blower to.
