Today marks the end of an incredible chapter as Kinghorn Motor Group Owner and Dealer Principal, Geoff O'Connell, officially heads into retirement after almost 39 years in the automotive industry.
Geoff’s story with Kinghorn began back in September 1987, when he started out washing cars. Through decades of hard work, determination and an unwavering commitment to his team and customers, he worked his way through the business to become the respected leader and Dealer Principal he is today.
Over the years, Geoff has helped thousands of customers across the Shoalhaven and Australia-wide, representing brands including Ford, Volkswagen, Skoda and Great Wall, while building relationships that have lasted generations.
His career has also been recognised with numerous achievements and accolades, including the prestigious international Salute to Dealers Award and multiple Dealer of the Year honours. But Geoff has always maintained that none of it would have been possible without the incredible people around him, the hardworking and dedicated Kinghorn team, loyal customers and the wider community who have supported the business over so many years.
Perhaps one of Geoff’s proudest achievements has been the opportunity to give back. Supporting the Shoalhaven community and beyond, raising funds and helping organisations and individuals doing incredible things for others has always been an important part of what Kinghorn represents.
From washing cars in 1987 to leading Kinghorn Motor Group nearly four decades later, it has been quite a journey.
Geoff, congratulations on an extraordinary career and a very well-earned retirement. From the entire Kinghorn team and community, thank you for everything you have contributed over the past 39 years.
