Great news! Just in time for the school holidays!

The South West's landmark Gloucester Tree climb will finally be reopened.

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions has confirmed with the ABC the tourist attraction will be open to the public from the weekend of June 27th.

Visitors have made the 61-metre-high climb up the Gloucester Tree for decades without a harness or supervision. However, the former fire lookout was closed in late 2023 due to safety concerns.

Work to redevelop the attraction began last year but after numerous delays the climb will now reopen in time for the school holidays at the redeveloped height of 37 metres.

This afternoon I had some returning visitors who first stayed with us back in October 2023, only a few weeks after we purchased the park.

Dave and Kathy travelled all the way from SA to WA and created an incredible book documenting their road trip adventures. Today they brought the book in to show me, and I was blown away to see Northcliffe Holiday Park featured in their story.

They told me they enjoyed their previous stay so much that they decided to stay with us again on their way up north.

Thank you Dave & Kathy for your continued support of the park and for the wonderful mention in your book. What an amazing idea and such a special keepsake to pass down to your children and grandchildren for years to come. I absolutely loved seeing it!

Look what dropped into its new 'forever home' in our Understory Garden Gallery on Monday - 'Manscape' by artist, Tony Davis (pictured).

Created from 150kgs of jarrah and steel, it's form is inspired by mesa and butte eroded land formations found in the North of the state Kimberley region and Tony's continued exploration of "human shelters" throughout history. It also is similar to the dome shaped mia-mia shelter structures used in by Australia's First Nations peoples.

Manscape was first exhibited on Cottesloe beach as part of the Sculpture By The Sea in 2016.

Tony has been extremely generous in 'gifting' this work to Southern Forest Arts for the enjoyment of Northcliffe's residents and visitors.

Tony's work is one of several pieces to be formally launched next Saturday at 2pm as part of the garden's official opening event.

Our beautiful Bella πŸ’”

It’s with very heavy hearts that we share some sad news from Northcliffe Holiday Park.

We have lost one of our own, our beautiful Bella, who was just two months shy of her 22nd birthday.

Bella was so much more than just our girl, she was part of the park (she owned the park), part of the experience, and loved by so many of our guests over the last few years. Anyone who met her knows just how special she was. Her gentle nature and sweet presence brought so much joy to everyone.

This is our second loss in 8 months, and our hearts are still healing. Bella is now reunited with Cookie, who we said goodbye to in August last year at the age of 16.

We take comfort in knowing our two girls are back together again, side by side.

Thank you to everyone who showed Bella love over the years, she truly was one of a kind and will be deeply missed πŸ’”
