In Western Australia, you should always drive to the conditions of the road environment.

🚨 Slow Down & Move Over for Emergency Vehicles (known as the SLOMO Law): When you see flashing lights from an emergency/incident response vehicle, you are required to slow down to a maximum of 40 km/h and move over to another lane if possible.

🦥 Slow Down on Bends: Read the road ahead and slow before a bend. Avoid braking suddenly to prevent skidding or losing control of your vehicle.

🚗 Slow Down on Gravel Roads: Gravel can act like ball-bearings under your tyres, causing your vehicle to slide out of control. Gravel roads can also create dust clouds that reduce visibility.

🦺 Slow Down for Roadworks: Obey the speed limit shown on roadwork signs as road conditions may have changed and to look after the workers.

⛈ Slow Down in Poor Weather or Visibility: Increase your following distance if the weather or road conditions are poor.

🛣 Slow Down for Hazardous Road Conditions: Obey signs for slippery roads or loose stones.

⛔ Never Exceed the Speed Limit

Exemptions include if additional passenger/s who:
🔴 Have held a full C-class licence for at least 4 years
🔴 Are immediate family
🔴 Are necessary for employment purposes. This requires a letter from the employer which must be presented if requested.

Don't forget: Red plate. One mate.

What about adults getting their license so they can drive their kids ? More laws. More laws to break. More loss of license. More driving with no license .
Invest in more access to PDAs
(I don’t mind teens not being able to drive friends , but licenses exist for so much more than teens going to parties) IMO
