WHAT? A FLAVEL NOMINATING EARLY

Would you look at that, a Flavel can nominate early!

Cjay Flavel has added his name into the mix, to once again head up the Newman for our one and only event of the year!

This year we are again going all out for the East Pilbara Tyre Services Ash Page Memorial on October 2 and 3!

The ‘All-in’ Style Feature will again pay $10,000 in prize money for the Ash Page, while Sprintcars, Street Stocks and Production Sedans will also have $5,000 for Feature Races.

Junior Sedans will also have stack of prizes coming their way over the two nights of racing.

But that is not all: we are welcoming all Speedway Australia Divisions to this year’s Ash Page, and we are also offering all visiting divisions prize money!

This is to go on top of the tow money as we are still helping out travelling drivers by still making sure they do not go home empty-handed.

LET'S NOT FORGET THE REAL REASON ABOUT THIS EVENT

As we hit the 12th time this special event that is deep in the hearts of the Newman Speedway community, there is no doubt this event will never be forgotten on why we do this every year.

This year, we might go big for our only show this year but we can not lose the meaning about why we do this event.

As we have stated before, this event means more than just a weekend of good times, it also takes on a bigger meaning

Odds are that yourself or someone you know has battled with depression during a part of their life, and for some it is something that they can't shake off. Sadly for us we lost a person close to us.

Ashley was a victim of depression and eventually gave in to the pressures and took his own life, way too early. The Hillview Speedway Club, with great support from Ash's family, try to raise awareness and funds every year with this speedway event he would be proud of.

JUNIOR SEDANS LEADING THE WAY FOR ASH PAGE

Everyday we continue to see more drivers and teams put their names down to make the trip to Hillview Speedway for the East Pilbara Tyre Services Ash Page Memorial on October 2 and 3.

One thing that has been amazing to see is the early numbers of Junior Sedans who are wanting to make the trip for our one and only show of the year!

Last year, we had some epic giveaways for Junior Sedans, and we plan to have the same again!
