WE ARE MOVING! Over the next few weeks / months leading up to Christmas Moto Mechanical Solutions will be moving into a new location.

Due to the response & workload from our customers, we have quickly out grown our little workspace from home & thanks to some great people I have secured some workshop space to expand. So it’s now time to move into a bigger & better location which will allow a more professional set up along with easier access for test rides without noise restrictions.

Don’t worry, there will be no change for customers dropping off or picking up their bikes. This will still be from Cameron Park as normal. We also still offer our customers a bike collection & delivery service, just as we always have.

I will keep everyone updated once it’s all set up as the process happens.

There has been talk about Yamaha bringing out an electric model for a it for a while now, but it look to be now it’s out there. The Yamaha YE-01 will be at the upcoming MXON for a demonstration ride. What’s your thoughts as moto rinding is slowly moving forward in this direction? We have all seen the Honda model that Trey Cannard race in Japan a couple of years ago.

Yamaha Motor will bring the YE‑01 Racing Concept to the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations 2026, with an exhibition run that will allow to show the appeal of the vehicle and the potential of electric motocross. ✨

Developed together with French electric motorcycle specialist Electric Motion (EM), the YE‑01 pairs proven YZ450F chassis technology with EM's power unit expertise. This is a step toward YE‑01's eventual participation in MXEP, the upcoming electric motocross racing series, and part of Yamaha's wider commitment to carbon neutrality across its entire value chain by 2050.

A little bit of restoration work! These 2008 Harley Davison Dyna Super Glide Forks had definitely seen better days, but a quick tear down, cleaned up, powered coating & service, theses forks will see another 18 years of cursing the highway

Some people think I am crazy when I buy a brand new bike and want to pull it all apart before I ride it, well here’s a classic example of why I do it.

I had a customer bring his 2025 YZ450f in with only 4.5 hours on it for a suspension linkage & steering grease and you can see why.

Manufacturers are making these bikes on a production line to get them out on time, place in a crate & shipped off to your local bike store, the bike store uncreates the bikes & sticks them on the showroom floor waiting for you to come buy them. The local bike shop doesn’t get paid a large amount of money to Pre deliver the bikes so how they come out of the create is how you get them.

As you can see there is not much grease on these components & where we ride these bikes and spend hours washing them with a high powered pressure washer it doesn’t take long for water to rust out these bearings.

Grease is always going to be cheaper than replacing the bearings. So I highly recommend grease these bearings twice a year if your racing MX & once a year if your trial riding.

If you’re going to do this job yourself, don’t skimp of cheap grease, get yourself a good quality motorcycle grease like the Maxima Racing Oils Australia water proof grease or better still just bring it into Moto Mechanical Solutions and we can do it for you.

Hot tip.. be careful you don’t lose any of the needles in the bearings, they tend disappear very easily once you start playing with fresh grease.

A shoutout to Leon Sayers & Seth Grimshaw for flying the Moto Mechanical Solutions flag down at Canberra for the last round of the southern regional MX series on the weekend. Just a couple of country kids from West Wyalong doing what they love. Keep up the great work boys and definitely takes me back to my youth racing the exact same series at there age. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
