Well, that was interesting, but what was going on at the end of the race!

After the 35 car buried it at turn 3, safety car boards and flags were displayed, but at the same time the track lighting was displaying green, and then at one stage red, then back to green, which is where a lot of the confusion came from, which you may have seen from the broadcast.

Now one thing to remember is driver vision is usually limited, especially when you are whipping through a corner looking out a visor the size of a letter box opening. Watching for a flag through your peripheral vision is difficult and the lights are a lot easier to spot. And location comes Into play as well. The back straight flag point is easy to spot but in corner 3 and between 4 and 5 they are irrelevant as the drivers vision is looking towards the racing line, not off the track.

So some drivers saw safety car, some saw yellow caution, some saw green lights and others saw red, depending where you were on circuit.

Regardless I ran out of laps to make anymore moves so we will put the action on for tomorrow!
