Some of the things we see in the workshop are just baffling, these brakes were done by a “reputable” mechanic. The disc rotor is the wrong diameter as in it is too small. Nobody is perfect but how you could let this out the door is simply mind-blowing. Repaired properly now and back in the traffic.

This is what we found when replacing the cabin/pollen filter on this 2014 Holden Captiva, this is the first time we have seen this vehicle and we suspect the cabin filter is the original. It looks like someone has made a nice warm home here at some stage. We have seen some pretty bad ones over the years but we reckon this one takes the cake. Check/replace your cabin filters

This Holden Cruze was an unhappy camper when it presented with the engine running rough and the cooling fan running flat out. A split coolant expansion tank was replaced and the cooling system bled, a split pcv valve diaphragm was the cause of the running issue, the pcv valve is incorporated into the rocker cover on this engine, the rocker cover gasket was also leaking oil, we used the opportunity to upgrade from the plastic rocker cover to a nice full aluminium one, we think it gives the engine bay a nice glow up too.
