In 2024 I am not planning on hosting a car boot sale.
But Julie’s Bargain Shed will be open (with fundraising for a chosen cause) Saturday 16th November 2024 (more details including opening times will be available closer to the date).
Thank you everyone who have supported our events over the years. A lot of planning goes into these events and cost as well. It’s just to much for me to plan and host the event.
I know this is the best decision and hope you support me to make this a great open day in November.

Happy New Year everyone. I thank you for your support this year and most importantly our November event. Bring on 2024.

Bargain hunters, thrift queens and kings of Australia we salute you! 🫡

Over 400,000 Australians shopped or sold at more than 14,000 garage sales this November. That’s a whole lot of planet-saving, landfill reducing, friendship forming good times that wouldn’t have happened without you. 💕

To the amazing organisations that make it all possible, and free, to participate in - you rock! 🤘🏽

This year’s Garage Sale Trail was made possible thanks to the support of over 80 councils across Australia as well as PayPal, Grow It Local, ACT Government, NSW Environment Protection Authority, Queensland Government, Sustainability Victoria, Australian Neighbourhood Houses & Centres Association and Australian Men's Shed Association. 👏🏽

And to our wonderful ambassadors Veronica Milsom, , Bell Street Good For The Hood, Chaotic Social, Barry Du Bois, 2AussieThrifters, Dirty Janes Bowral, , , Never Ever Pay Retail, , and for sharing your tips and wisdom with community all across Australia. 🐨

A persistent change in bowel habit, especially more frequent and/or loose, diarrhoea-like motions for several weeks is a potential sign of bowel cancer.

Knowing what’s normal (for you), makes it easier to spot any changes in your bowel habit.

However, if a change lasts for more than two weeks, it could be a sign that something isn’t right, and you should discuss it straight away with your GP.

Today, for World Toilet Day, we are bringing your attention to the Bristol Stool Chart.

Developed by Dr. Stephen Lewis and Dr. Ken Heaton at the University of Bristol, the Bristol Stool Chart was designed to help classify and categorise poo into seven types to make it easier to distinguish the healthy from the not-so-healthy.

It can be a useful aid when describing your poo to a GP or specialist.

Generally speaking, poo that more closely resembles Type 3 or 4 is considered ‘normal’.

Poo closer to Type 7 is suggestive of diarrhoea and needs to be investigated by a GP if it lasts for over two weeks.

If you notice blood in your poo or experience any of the signs or symptoms linked below for more than two weeks, speak to your GP about it as soon as possible.
