When visiting Victoria's snowfields ... please drive safely!!

A further 120 offences were issued to motorists travelling to and from Victoria’s snowfields over the weekend, taking the total number of offences detected during the road policing operation to more than 500.

This includes:
➡️89 speeding offences
➡️12 unregistered vehicles
➡️two drug drivers and one drink driver.

Among those intercepted were two drivers detected in separate incidents on the Maroondah Highway at Mansfield, with one allegedly travelling at 140km/h and another returning an alleged blood alcohol reading of 0.107 after being stopped.

If you're visiting the alpine areas - drive safely and obey road rules.

We're looking forward to Ovens River Trail parkrun this weekend! Guess what - it's 22nd of August... and the 22nd =tutu day! Pull them out of your wardrobe, bring them along to wear at parkrun on Saturday!

That rain last week created some slippery conditions along the Myrtleford Mosaic Trail, so our crews are out there today to do some clean up works and make sure it's safe for use. 🚧🧩

This means that the section between Rotary Park and the bridge midway along the trail will be closed from this morning until late this afternoon.

Signage is in place to notify people using the trail.
