Soooo. Evan got to the rego office last year all ready for registration............
And the controller died.
I have just taken delivery of a "new" motor controller (from the 1980/1990s) today.

Driving around discharging the battery is all fun and good BUT I still need a charger. After several days of chasing up programs, working out what the Swiss / German translated manual means and mucking around we managed to get the Brusa chargers ready to manually charge.

After a bit of a hiatus, since my owner has been way too busy installing EV charging 🙄, he has finally been able to get back to the more important job of preparing my batteries for installation.

1st measure, cut and drill copper bars
2nd remove any oxidation or tarnishing (from the delay in work🤔)
3rd paint with copper grease

Seems simple but is around a week's worth of work as there are 174 battery cells and 348 terminals!
