It was a pleasant surprise yeterday arvo when 15 members turned up for a damp Yank Tanks. We got to welcome back Graeme and Christine from their big trip as well.
Big thanks to Espresso 25, Coomera for not cancelling the meet despite the showers, a good time was had by all.

This morning KOA assisted the Merrimac Park Aged Care by putting on a car Car Show along with the Austin Healey club, MX5 club plus many other enthusiasts.
The weather decided to be nice for a while to provide a good couple of hours for residents to reminisce on old times.
We had 16 cars with about 20 all up, plus one pup.
Its great that KOA can get so many members out supporting the community.
We have a great club.

Congrats to Peter and Janette Trickey who took out the much coverted "KOA King of Cooly" for 2026. To keep it fair, we have the "Experience Gold Coast" organisers pick the car they think is the best out of our KOA display.

Well anothet epic Cooly Rocks On this weekend.
Heaps of members Thursday and Friday.
We had 49 cars from KOA on Saturday and 38 on Sunday.
Weather was spot on up till this morning, it turned a bit crappy but the sun did pop out occasionally.

We had quite an extensive working bee at the clubhouse today. New window surrounds in the store room, fixed a rusty roof...

We had quite an extensive working bee at the clubhouse today. New window surrounds in the store room, fixed a rusty roof and repaint over the ladies loo and kitchen, replace rotten railings and pailings on the verandah and a garden clean all (mostly) done by midday. Thanks to these legends for making it happen. Gary and Pauline Moore, Lynden and Wanna Derrick, Don Macgregor, Carmel Cassar, Jim Smith, Dave Coughran, Bill Macdonald, Greg Macdonald, Tom Stoewer, Ray Sparkes, Ian Wilson, Keith Woodbridge, John Park, Mark Halleday, Andy and Meagan Milligan. Everyone chipped, there were no idle hands.
Great effort everyone, we have a great club with good members.

A really good Breaky run for KOA this morning. I booked a table for 15 at Cafe 63, Coombabah this morning but we ended up with 27 members, partners and friends enjoying a great breakfast, coffee and chat.
The new management at Cafe 63 handled the extra numbers with no problems at all. Well worth a visit.

The weather was great for Cars and Coffee Gold Coast this morning despite the gloomy forecast. Just goes to show it's best to stick your head out the window to see what its going to be like.
Not quite as many cars as a nice summer morning but a full carpark on a damp, chilly morning is a great turnout.
There were 32 KOA members there to help bolster the numbers.

Nice cool weather for Yank Tanks yesterday arvo. Nearly 30 members, partners, pups and friends came out to enjoy a great Saturday Autumn afternoon. A bunch of us left there and went to Chaddies Paddies at Runaway Bay for a burger. A very nice way to spend an arvo.

Well, a few of us braved the weather for a quick catch up at our KOA Lavelle Street Meet tonight. Only 2 of us brought our classics out though, but it was good to have a chat with the usual suspects.
We were lucky enough to get an F111 dump and burnšŸ¤£.
