We've been pretty quiet on socials over the past 2 years but with good reason for behind the scenes amazing things have been taking shape.

With a sudden recallibration of NQ Ally Works in early 2024, a plan was put in place to achieve something that at times felt impossible and simply out of reach. In 2 years we learnt lots, improved and grew achieving amazing results with an 250% increase.

We have been grinding hard delivering countless builds with a single goal in mind. On Friday that goal became an amazing reality with the arrival of our new cnc press brake from

The gravity of what this means to and for our company is beyond comprehention to most unless you work in the industry then you will understand the significance of this feat, the capabilities we now possess and the future growth potential this cornerstone piece of manufacturing machinery brings to us.

This machine, fully programmable will bring significant boost in production, accuracy, quality, allow us to design and make products bigger, better and in different ways previously not achievable with the machines we have now replaced.

To go from starting this business in my backyard shed, making do with lack of space and inferier equipment to now owning my own facility which will now house this amazing piece of equipment is something I am truly proud of, not just in myself but my team also for without them accomplishments like these may have never come into fruition.

I'd like to make special mention to the following people with a heartfelt thanks:

- My team, Pete and Cam. You guys are always rising above expectations and your efforts are appreciated. Doug despite no longer being with us you played a significant part and are certainly not forgotten

- My family and friends, Noel, Dan, Christine, business mentor Bob, my kids, Chris, Matty and ofcourse my amazing mum. You all saw potential in me even on days I couldnt see, you picked me up, encourage and said you've got this, you must keep going. There are no words I can say to express my gratitude, thank you all for believing in me.

NQ Ally Works is in an exciting growth phase and as a result now has a position vacant within our team for a qualified boilermaker / sheet metal tradesperson. In keeping with our core business values for professionalism in customer service, design and manufacturing quality we seek applicants for the position who can demonstrate the following attributes;

A trade qualification in either boilermaker or sheet metal fabrication, (however this should not deter highly skilled but unqualified individuals from applying).
Extensive aluminium fabrication experience.
High attention to detail in all areas of fabrication and finished product quality.
High standard of aluminium mig and tig welding capabilities.
High standard of pride in work and customer satisfaction.
Current motor vehicle license.
The ability to work closely within a team environment or autonomously without direction when necessary.
Ability to read and interpret workshop drawings.
Have a positive, productive, and forward-thinking attitude.
Additional attributes that will be highly regarded but not essential include:

Experience in the fabrication and fitment of aluminium ute trays, canopies, and accessories.
Experience in 3D design using Autodesk Inventor
Production management experience
Experience in operation of fabrication workshop machinery & equipment (CNC profile plasma cutter, CNC router, hydraulic pan brake, hydraulic brake press, hydraulic guillotine, pipe bender) or a keen attitude & interest to learn
Poly fabrication and welding experience
Automotive performance parts & piping fabrication experience

Our core business is the 3D design, fabrication & fitment/supply of state of the art aluminium ute trays and canopy packages. We have built our reputation for innovation and quality locally, nationally, and internationally. Alongside our core business of ute tray and canopies, NQ Ally Works designs, manufactures, and supplies both nationally and internationally a product line known as the Kimberley2Cape 4wd & Adventure Accessories as seen online.

The position advertised is the perfect opportunity for a skilled individual who is looking to progress their long-term career goals and become part of a close-nit team within a company on the rise. If you are tired of being a production line welding bay worker repeating the same mundane task day in day out which leaves you feeling unmotivated with no job satisfaction, then this position is for you. Although we have a well-equipped and modern workshop our growth plan requires new machinery and equipment all of which you will have the opportunity to learn and use daily keeping work interesting and rewarding and building your skill sets!

What we offer

Permanent, full time position.
Monday - Friday roster although some over time may be required from time to time.
There may be some flexibility in working hours depending on the circumstances.
Minimum 38 hour weeks.
Fun and rewarding work environment.
Other benefits may apply depending on the skills, experience, and performance of the applicant.

The unofficial workshop pet. Bit of a shock for the young bloke whilst helping me out by mowing the workshop back lawn. Nearly stepped on him lapping up the sun in the grass. Short stay in a quiet tub then safely released to fight another day.
