For the vehicle in the picture, we sorted this one in house, here’s how!
These cars have minimal bumpstop rear bumpstop clearance from factory and a very light and soft rear spring. On arrival this Tasman was hard down on its bumpstops with no travel left at all. So we fitted a full length extra leaf at full length under main leaf, a second extra leaf under that to help create more strength in the top stage of the spring, while maintaining flexibility by staggering the leaves nicely. Now making it a 5+1 pack. The load carrying bottom stage is only short and has a lot of negitive camber, meaning by the time it’s fully engaged and working your on the bumpstops. So we we shape it to make it engage earlier. This modification raised the vehicle 90mm from its sagged position and now has aprox 75mm of bumpstop clearance. Sitting up where it should be and riding well. Ready for work.
