Here’s an unusual one we haven’t seen before! This truck came to us with a loss of power. With some diagnostics, we found the air filter had collapsed due to a rubbish bag sucking into the air intake and restricting its air flow. This resulted in it destroying the turbo and air filters. We got some parts overnight and the team were able to get this truck up and running again the next day! For any truck and car repairs, give the team a call.

We’re hiring: Experienced Car Mechanic

Location: Mount Compass

Are you passionate about cars and skilled in diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance? Join our dynamic team and help keep our customers on the road safely and efficiently!

What we’re looking for:
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and engines
- Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Certificate III Automotive qualification required
- Previous experience in a workshop
- Must have an eye for detail and produce high quality work
- Current drivers licence

Your responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections
- Diagnose mechanical faults
- Perform repairs and replacements using quality parts
- Ensure compliance with safety standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service

An opportunity is available for the successful candidate to assist with our sister business (High Access Rigging) whereby their team travel frequently both inter and intrastate.

The successful incumbent would be invited to travel on occasions where assistance is needed providing an opportunity for paid travel allowances in addition to salary. An interest in assisting with this work in addition to working at the Mount Compass workshop is not essential but strongly desirable. All training will be provided. The role would require work on telecommunications towers, poles and masts. You would need to be confident working at heights of up to 100m and will be apart of a team helping with the installation of steelwork, antennas, feeders and microwave links. A good work ethic and understanding of OH&S would be required if assisting with this role. Would need to pass a fit to climb medical.
