Know where it is safe to mount your device.

Use mounted or in-build vehicle displays for essentials like maps and music - just don’t text, scroll, view images or watch videos while driving. Stay alert, stay safe.

Check out our visual guide to show exactly where devices should be fitted.

🚗 One Crash. Three Postures. Three Fates.
Most people don’t think about it — but the way you sit in a car can decide whether you walk away from an accident… or never walk again.
When an airbag deploys, it doesn’t gently inflate — it explodes outward at over 300 km/h.
If you’re sitting upright, seatbelt on, feet on the floor — that force is absorbed safely, exactly how the system was designed.
But if your feet are on the dashboard, everything changes.
That same explosion can drive your knees into your face, break your legs, or crush your hips in an instant.
Even crossing your legs or slouching can twist your body into positions your bones can’t survive when the impact hits.
We tell ourselves, “It’s just a short trip” or “I’m just relaxing for a second.”
But crashes don’t wait for you to sit right.
So next time you buckle up — remember this rule:
🦶 Feet down.
🔒 Seatbelt on.
💪 Back straight.
Because comfort lasts a moment — but safety lasts a lifetime. 🚦

‼️❄️There have been multiple emergency calls for incidents involving black ice around the district this morning ❄️‼️

The issue with black ice is that it is invisible 🫥

⚠️ Slow down!
⚠️ Maintain distance between yourself and the vehicle in front if you
⚠️ Slow right down around corners
⚠️ Look ahead to avoid potential hazards
⚠️ Avoid icy areas and driving if possible…

But what should you do if you do hit black ice??? 🧊

The key is DO NOT panic! 😱
Maintain your course, avoid sudden braking, accelerate & steering! 🚙
Slowly take your foot off the accelerator 🐌

Take care

Always expect a motorbike. If you don’t look for them, you probably won’t see them.

Thirty-two motorcyclists have been killed on Victoria’s roads this year, more than half of those deaths have been the result of a collision with another vehicle.

There are many precautions riders can take to reduce the risk of crash, and there are many things drivers can do too:
🏍️ Indicate your intention to turn or change lanes well in advance.
🏍️ When changing lanes, use mirrors and head checks to make sure blind spots are clear.
🏍️ Give motorcyclists enough space and plenty of room to manoeuvre.
🏍️ Always drive to the conditions, reduce your speed in low visibility situations and switch on your headlights.

With days getting shorter, and visibility sometimes poor, we’re urging everyone to be extra vigilant and stay on the lookout for vulnerable road users.
