Final pictures of this Toyota Rav4 all completed. What did we do?
- Wrap Removal
- Glue and Residue Removed
- Rear Window Garnish Removed and old signage remains removed
- Rear Boot Garnish Replaced (Too damaged from wrap and other detailers attempt to fix easily or cost effectively)
- Rear Lights all removed and reinstalled
- Boot Striker / Catch Repaired and Aligned
- Decontamination Wash
- Cut and Polish to bring the paint back to life!

We picked this up from their office in town, brought it to our workshop, got it all sorted out and then returned it to them to see the smiles and amazement. What a project!

OK, Some more updates on this project from last month - Wow, May has been and gone. Yikes.

This project for The Zahra Foundation was a challenge that is for sure. Here are some progress shots.

We took out the rear lights in rear quater panels and boot, rear mid boot garnish, also the upper garnish to access top of window (not pictured), fixed the rear boot latch that was broken and started the wrap and glue removal process.

We recently took on a project that another "experienced and professional" detailer had started and after 4 or 5 days they walked away from it, telling the client at 5:30pm on a Friday via message that it was too hard and they were walking away from it.

They had damaged 2 rear lights in the process, some panels were also scratched to the primer or bare metal in some spots and had left the job in a absolute disgrace.

While things go wrong, damage car occur you own it, tell the client and rectify it. They did non of this. Client was not aware until we started pointing it out when we inspected it before taking on the job.

We jumped in on short notice, shuffled a few things around and got the project done. Here is a snap shot of what we were up against.

In the coming days we will show some of the process, before and afters and what it took.

We are very proud of this turn around and it was probably the worst wrap removal jobs I have had to do in 13+ years of detailing.

We can now post the after photos of this Triton after its mega decontamination. Squeezing this one in late Friday and into Saturday to get it done ASAP. Combination of food colouring, flour (we think) and orange juice and who knows what else.

How did we get it all off?
What did we have to do well here is the short-ish version

* Aggressive snow foam mixes with Degreaser, Solvents, Car Shampoo
* Pressure rinse (this will be a theme)
* Snow foam again but a tweaked mix
* Big broom scrub brush (paints bad, we are not hurting it with this) with a degreaser mix in bucket
* High Pressure Rinse
* Hand wash with white Oates scrub pad
* Clay mitt twice around with 2 different chemicals Including a Acid and Iron Decon remover
* Pressure rinse - Hand was getting sore at this point!
* Hands wash with acid and scrub pad again
* Wheels cleaned
* Final pressure rinse
* Machine Polish, Single Stage to bring it back to life some more and banish some remaining stains
* Ceramic Wax Coating to protect the freshly exposed paint and to give it a bit of a treat after all of that scrubbing.

And then hand the keys back to the young lad this afternoon and lets hope a certain some one does not want to take vengeance out on his car again.

The strange things we get our selves into, but helping taking care of this was a good way to end a big week and do some overtime this weekend - I really should pay myself overtime at some point!

Well Well Well, it looks like it has happened again! It is not often after 13+ years Detailing I get to say "I have not seen this before" but this afternoon, that is what happened. "Allegedly" someone did not take very well to a break up.

We got a desperate call for help this afternoon, after shuffling a few things around we got the car to the workshop and began to work our magic. I will finish it off over the weekend and post some after pics but here is something different for now in all its messy glory.

Food colouring, flour, orange juice and who knows what else was all over this car.

From the history books - a photo from a few years ago. One of the not so friendly things we find in vehicles we work on.
I don't think burning down a clients car is a good way to sort his issue out, but I am sure some would understand - my insurance company, not so much!

It is amazing that even after 13+ years of detailing I still get surprised with some results.
I genuinely thought these wheels would have more contamination on them, need more aggressive process and products however they have turned out great all things considered.

Something random we found in a vehicle we were doing a full detail on this week on a big Chev.

How awesome are kids toys these days. Not sure this one was 3d Printed due to the paint work but it was cool as heck!

What do we have here?
The oil from a engine bay detail and degrease of a 80 Series Landcruiser we were cleaning up. This was just a small section of it, the poor Cruiser had some oil under half of the car. Cheap rust insurance ;)
