🔧 MEET THE TEAM MONDAY – SASCHA 🔧

This week we’re introducing Sascha, one of our gun Field Service Technicians 🚛🛠️

Sascha joined Southern Plant Maintenance back in 2018 as a wiry 1st-year apprentice. From the start, he impressed us with his genuine passion for the trade, natural ability to tinker and problem-solve, and a work ethic well beyond his generation.

Fast-forward 8 years and Sascha has become a highly skilled and trusted mechanic, spending much of his time out in the field diagnosing faults and getting our customers’ trucks and machinery back to work. 💪

🔧 What are you working on today?

• Volvo 235 Excavator – final drive oils & diagnose starting issue
• Komatsu Excavator – locate hydraulic leak
• CAT 30-tonner – diagnose hydraulic issue
• Mower deck – replace failed bearing
• Truck – diagnose why it won’t go into gear
• 30-tonne Komatsu – diagnose & repair alarm fault

What do you love most about your job?

We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Heavy Vehicle/Plant Technician to join our busy workshop and field service team.

Meet the Team Monday 👋🔧

This week we’re introducing Connor, our 3rd Year Apprentice! 🚜⚒️

Connor joined the Southern Plant Maintenance team after completing work experience with us during his final year at Moss Vale High School. From day one, he impressed us by turning up with his own PPE and tools – a clear sign of his strong work ethic and enthusiasm for the trade! 💪

🔧 What are you working on today?
“I’m repairing a hydraulic leak on a skid steer loader.”

🚜 What do you like most about your job?
“The variety of machines I get to work on. Every day is different.”

⚙️ What’s your favourite thing to work on?
“Older machines, excavators and trucks. I like the simpler, back-to-basics machines that are reliable and built to last.”

🤝 What do you enjoy most about working at Southern Plant Maintenance?
“It’s a small business that feels like a big family. We’ve got a great team and I never feel like just another number.”

🏕️ What do you do when you’re not at work?
“You’ll usually find me at home in the shed tinkering, out four-wheel driving, or camping.”

👋 Meet the Team Monday! 👋

This week we're introducing the man behind Southern Plant Maintenance – Brendan Caseley, Director and Licensed Mechanic. 🚛🔧

Brendan completed his trade at Murray Tractors in Robertson before taking the leap and starting his own business in 2005. What began in a humble backyard shed in Penrose has grown into the thriving family business you see today.

In 2017, Brendan and his wife Jo relocated the business to Moss Vale to meet the growing demand for their services. Today, they continue to run Southern Plant Maintenance together alongside their son Flynn, who is currently a 2nd-year apprentice. 👨‍🔧

With over 20 years of business ownership and a lifetime of hands-on mechanical experience, Brendan is passionate about keeping local trucks, machinery, farm equipment and fleets operating safely and efficiently. 💪🚜

When he's not in the workshop or out on-site, you'll find Brendan exploring Australia with his family and caravan in tow, taking the kids water skiing or snow skiing, riding his motorbike or working on the family farm in Canyonleigh. 🏕️🚤⛷️🚜
