IN 1936, Mallawa Amateur Picnic Race Club president Charles Jardine – an Australian boxing champion in the 1920s – won the opening race at Mallawa as an owner with Spear Loch. Yesterday’s Mallawa Picnic Races were an absolute cracker – perfect weather, great crowds, thrilling races, and a whole lot of country hospitality on show.

Thanks to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable day – we loved every minute of it!

If you’ve purchased a lunch ticket to the catered marquee for the Mallawa Picnic Races this Friday, 7th June, please make sure you collect your wristband from the drink ticket stall on arrival.

🎟️ Wristbands are essential for marquee access and lunch service – don’t miss out!
