RICK’S BUILD
This one has been a massive project for us at Kidd Motorcycles and something we’ve been involved with for a long time.
Rick’s bike has been through a huge transformation over the years. Long before this latest stage of the build, we completed a full performance motor build along with gearbox upgrades, laying the foundation for what the bike has eventually become today.
This latest stage was about bringing the rest of the bike up to the same level and completely finishing the package.
The black and gold theme has been carried throughout the entire bike. From the custom paintwork and wheels through to the suspension, brakes, engine details, controls and hardware, there’s gold everywhere you look without taking away from the tough black base of the bike.
Over the course of our time working on Rick’s bike, the build has included:

* Öhlins rear suspension
* Gold front end
* Custom black and gold wheels
* Custom black and gold paintwork
* Saddlemen seat
* Custom bars and controls
* Custom exhaust
* Gold pegs, levers and hardware
* Engine and driveline detailing
* Countless smaller custom touches throughout
This bike has definitely not happened overnight. It’s been built and developed over time, with each stage adding to the last, and it’s awesome to finally see everything come together as one complete bike.
There is a massive amount of detail in this thing. The more you look at it, the more you notice, and when the sunlight hits all the gold against the black paint it completely changes the bike.
