We are seeking a Head Mechanical Technician to join our team!

We are a small family owned business that provides top tier mechanical assistance to the Geelong region. Based in Moolap, we cover a range of services from major and minor repairs, tyre repair, pre-purchase inspections, European vehicles, and servicing. Over the years we have established a high rapport with our customers and other businesses.

Your role will include:

* Follow customer concerns to resolve and diagnose vehicle issues
* Work on major and minor repairs and other servicing and maintenance on the workshop floor
* Plan and delegate daily work schedules
* Dismantle and inspect vehicle units and provide detailed reports on faults and solutions
* Come into a management role to progress your career
* Liaise closely with coworkers to ensure the union of the business

The right candidate:

* 5 + years (post qualification) mechanical experience
* Wide range of experience and/or knowledge on multiple makes and models including European
* Strong electrical and automotive diagnosis skills
* Passion for Mechanics
* Excellent communication and a desire for permanent full time work (4 day week)
* Proven mechanical drive and capability to deliver quality work
* Hardworking and energetic disposition
* Strong attention to detail
* Critical thinking and problem solving mindset
* Enthusiastic ability to work autonomously
* Professional attitude and a desire to step up into a management role

• Applicants must be 4th year apprentice or fully qualified only

• You must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

• The ability to diagnose and perform safety checks, as well as log book servicing, is a must. Experience in tyre services, ARC accredited, wheel alignments is preferred, but not essential.
