We've just completed a huge two week clean-up on this 1991 Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R. It came to us needing some serious paint rectification after a previous pretty rough paint job on the roof and body.
We completely levelled out the surface by removing paint runs, dirt nibs and heavy orange peel then carried out an extensive machine polish to give a mirror-like finish.
The faded GT-R emblems were hand airbrushed to bring back that crisp, classic look and we restored all four wheels back to their original factory finish.
Now, this JDM masterpiece is more than worthy of our Shiny Shot Friday title.

There is a unique vulnerability in giving a master framebuilder total artistic control over your ride, but when that builder is( ) Ken Evans, you trust the process.

When it came time to paint, the only specific request was a subtle nod to cycling heritage: the design had to incorporate either five stripes or five rings. Beyond that Ken was given total artistic license with the colour palette.

He chose a striking combination of fire-engine red and bright yellow with the final design featuring five sharp yellow stripes running cleanly all the way down the down tube.

The result? A handmade steel frame road bike that doesn't just ride like a dream- it commands attention wherever it goes.

We're off to a busy start to the week in the shop, as it seems our local infrastructure and wildlife have been picking fights with our customers' cars.

We recently had the absolute pleasure of working on this iconic 1981 Porsche 928. The current owner has cherished and driven this classic for over 30 years.
It had been repainted in the past, but unfortunately, it wasn't up to Porsche standards- the colour match was wrong and time had taken a toll with corrosion creeping into the guard, driver's door and rear quarter. The owner wasn't looking for a flawless, factory-concours trailer queen, but wanted her to look 'better than it is, ' and properly protected.
We repaired the corrosion in the guard, door and rear quarter then repainted the entire front end, tops of the doors and mirrors, blending the new paint into the rear quarters for a seamless look.
We then carried out a full machine paint correction to pull out maximum gloss and clarity from the remaining original paint before applying our premium Australian made Graphene ceramic coating by Kovalent Coatings.
Locking in the shine and protecting the paint for years to come.
It's not always about making cars perfect; it's about honouring their history and keeping them on the road where they belong.
