Today, a crew from the Eastey Fire Trucks team enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the Knox Club in Wantirna.

A sincere thank you to Leigh for hosting us and making us feel so welcome. The meals were absolutely perfect, the company was great, and it was a lovely opportunity to catch up and share a few stories together.

We truly appreciate your hospitality and generosity Leigh, thank you for a fantastic afternoon.

What an absolutely amazing weekend it was for the team.

Saturday saw Eastey Pumper 1 head to Wangaratta to take part in the Wangaratta Fire Brigade- CFA 150th Anniversary celebrations. Along the way, we stopped in at Swanpool Fire Station to stretch our legs and grab a few photos out the front of their station.

The celebrations officially kicked off with the Wangaratta Fire Brigade 150th Anniversary Dinner and Awards Evening at the Wangaratta Turf Club, where past and present members came together to enjoy a beautiful dinner and celebrate an incredible milestone. Throughout the evening, the brigade MC shared the rich and proud history of the brigade over the past 150 years. Several brigade members were recognised with CFA and brigade awards, while a CFA Board Member proudly presented a National Medal to a deserving member.

The following morning, Eastey Pumper 1 headed to the Wangaratta VEMTC to catch up with the crew from the Alpine Brigades who were continuing their training at the college. The opportunity to run water alongside a live hot fire display in the background was spectacular to witness and be part of.

We then returned to Wangaratta Fire Station for a special award presentation and appliance dedication, followed by morning tea with members and guests. The weekend celebrations wrapped up at midday before our team made the journey back to the Bayswater workshop.

Congratulations to the Wangaratta CFA on an incredible 150 years of service, dedication, and community spirit. Thank you for inviting us to be part of such a special occasion.

Today we will be heading to Wangaratta Fire Brigade- CFA to be part of their 150 Year Anniversary Celebration.

May 16th 1876 Wangaratta Fire Brigade was born….

Which means we are 150 years old today!

Today we celebrate the commitment of every single person who has walked through our doors and given their time to our community.

A community that has supported us for 150 years.

For every volunteer, there is a family, and friends that has been the backbone of support for them. We thank them for holding the fort at home when we are off doing what we love.

This coming weekend, the Type 1 is heading to Wangaratta Fire Brigade- CFA to take part in celebrating the Brigades 150th Anniversary.
We would like to acknowledgment the team at Donburn Customs for turning out such an amazing job, finishing off some work on the Pink Panther. You guys are absolutely amazing.

🚨 SHOUT OUT TO Auspower Forest & Garden Bayswater🚨

The team at Eastey Fire Trucks would like to send a massive SHOUT OUT to Auspower Forest & Garden for their outstanding Professionalism, Support & Service.

Our Acco 610A 3.4 4x4 Tanker (Eastey Tanker 1) recently experienced an issues with the Briggs & Stratton Vanguard horizontal twin motor, that powers the 16HP Mark 200 GAAM pump.

With the motor requiring expert attention, we reached out to the team at Auspower Forest & Garden.

Without hesitation, they stepped in promptly diagnosing the mechanical issue and sourced the necessary replacement and spare parts.

Also thank you to Trevor & Tony for finding a donor pump.

Thanks to the expertise and commitment by all involved, the motor is now running like an absolute dream.

We truly appreciate the support and quick turnaround an outstanding result all round.

A fantastic night was enjoyed by all at The Basin Football & Netball Club, with legendary Nine News presenter Peter Hitchener joining us for a special appearance.

Peter captivated the room with stories from his early days in radio and television, sharing his journey through the industry to becoming one of Australia’s most respected news presenters. He reflected on the influence of greats such as Sir Eric Pierce and Brian Naylor, while also bringing back fond memories with mentions of many well-known personalities we’ve all grown up watching.

To close out a memorable evening, Peter was presented with a gift pack commemorating his evening at The Basin Football Netball Club. The Eastey Fire Trucks team were proud to also be part of such a successful and enjoyable event.
