Don River Dash 2026 update.
Car felt awesome, very happy with how we raced.
Lost oil pressure after lap 1 on day 1 and called it for the day to figure out how we lost 10L of oil. The trailing arms began bending more after prologue, confirming our concern they weren't strong enough and will be upgraded to billet.

Congratulations to Jet Racing who finished and drove incredibly well. A larger fuel tank and I think we will see them position better next year!

2026 Don River Dash
🏁 RACE DAY 🏁
After a successful reconnaissance lap yesterday, the car is feeling great after the upgrades made since our last race. The boys are excited to tackle the river today!

Volume up!!. Dyno run. Dropped peak power by about 300 rpm, not as much as we would have liked but the engine seems happy.

Just a little update video on what we've been doing for the last few weeks.

Got the engine all back together. We changed the intake to a Holley high RAM to get a bit longer runner length than what we did have on it. Change the intake valve to titanium and the exhaust valves to hollow stem stainless valves. We swap the cam to one that has slightly less duration but has the same lift and ramp rate. The goal is to bring our peak power from 8300 down to about 7500.

Diff updates for the ultra4.

We've been having trouble with our pinion supports on a high pinion diffs with the front pinion bearing failing due to high pinion diffs in the rear pulling on the front bearing. The bearing on the right is the standard bearing and the bearing on the left is the one we replacing it with. We are also adding an oil feed line to the front of the pinion to make sure that the bearings get lubricated.

We're going to have a crack at being ready for the Don River Dash in Sept. We've made some updates to the ultra4 to improve the cooling at higher speeds, the motor is going to be pulled out because we think the valves are tuliping and beefed up one of the bash plates under the auto.

Mitch Dialed Offroad will be helping over the next few months. Finke has got us excited to be racing and it will be sad to miss another Don.

Managed to finish Saturday and Sunday URC competition with the portal gear looking like this. No wonder the rock crawler wasn't feeling great 😅
