The DMR workshop will be closed from Wednesday, 24th December until Tuesday, 13th January - so our team can enjoy a well-deserved break.

How's winter treating you? And your bike? 🥶

As many of us like to rug up and enjoy the warmth of the indoors, it’s important to make sure your bike is looked after in the cooler months too, especially if you’re riding less often.

Here’s some tips for keeping your bike in top condition:
🏍️ Keeping a full tank helps protect your fuel system and helps prevent rust damage to your fuel tank - possibly use a fuel stabilizer for prolonged sitting
🏍️ Checking the tyres are pumped up prevents damage to the tyres in storage
🏍️ Look after your battery life, if possible keep it charged over winter or start your bike regularly ( and run up to full temp).

As we roll into the winter months, be careful where you keep your bike cosy ❄️

Unfortunately rodents tend to have a bit of fun in the cooler months, so it’s vital to keep an eye out for signs of rodents, and check parts of your bike that could easily be chewed.

We had this dirt bike in recently for a service, and we found rodent damage to the air filter. Having regular checks in place can save you a lot of hassle in the longer term!
