First of the year. This Geely starray demo got damaged in transit. Keeping the car original meant spending over a day repairing this vehicle with paintless dent repair and keeping the original finish intact.

I didn't take a video originally as there's considered a "jinx" with pdr, that taking a before video will mean the repair doesn't work out, check the comments for the after video.

We've been blessed with a few days of good weather, so why not record a dent getting fixed? 😄
This Mazda CX30 had the classic crease from a driver's door hitting it, I walked thru a little of the repair on camera.

Long time no post! Here's a quick tidy up I performed on a late model Toyota Hilux, that got hit by a Kangaroo.

It's a loan car used in rural areas, so the scope on this job was to improve it as to avoid a trip to the panel beaters, as its likely to happen again further down the track.

Yesterday we sadly lost the founding member of our industry, Natalio 'Lito' Balderrama.
Natalio moved from Argentina to Melbourne in the early 1970's, and began working at local car assembly plants in Dandenong, where he learnt how to panel beat damage caused on the assembly line without using fillers.

Eventually he honed his skills to a point where he could repair damage without requiring painting, and from here the modern iteration of Paintless Dent Repairs was born.

After honing his skills at local car dealerships, Natalio moved to the USA, starting what would become the Dent Wizard company, which is valued at $1 Billion and employs over 2,300+ staff.

A quick last minute boot lid dent on a classic Torana wraps up the year. Many thanks to my trade and private clients for making it a busy yet enjoyable year.

I am currently away on break over the Holiday period, and will be returning on the 15th of January.

It's been a minute since I last made a post, so why not share a recent repair.
I recently repaired this modern classic MX5 for its wonderful owner, which copped a deep shopping trolley dent to the quarter panel; so deep, we both expected the paint to crack.
With some heat applied to keep the paint flexible, and patience massaging it out, the factory finish remained intact to stay original for another day.

Additionally, it's already been a flat chat 2023 so I'll be taking the long weekend off, and will be back on board from Monday.

Wrapping up the year with this challenging boot lid dent on this BMW 3 series, which belongs to a good customer of mine, who's not had a great 2022 unfortunately.

And it doesn't help things when someone backs into his boot lid, which had just been resprayed a week earlier.

With fresh paint that still hadn't fully cured, I carefully spent the afternoon alternating between heating the paint, bring back the style line, and knocking down the buckle on top. With time and patience, I managed to keep the paintwork intact and prevent a second trip to the panel shop.

Hoping you all have a safe and happt end of year, and I will be returning to work on the 9th of January.
