✨Ducati Desmo 450✨
We were pretty quiet & didn’t post too much about this project this year!
First off what an awesome experience to be one of the first guys in Australia working on the new Ducati 450 but to be the first guy in Australia to turn this bike into a competitive bike to take on the Finke & Hattah Desert Races is a pretty cool achievement!
Starting from scratch was definitely going to have its challenges and we definitely had a few of them along the way! But our final race bike i am extremely proud of!
The only products we could buy off the shelf were the fuel tank, Acropovic Exhaust, Vortex ECU & a few other bits and pieces!
Everything else we had to get custom made:
- Steering Damper Bracket
- Stegpegz
- WP Front Stabiliser
- Machined KTM rear sprockets
- 15th Aprilia front sprocket
Massive thankyou to TBAS Engineering these guys made and designed our stegpegz, steering damper brackets & anything else we needed machining!
Thanks to everyone who jumped in to lend a hand & a big thankyou to Daniel Ling for the use of his workshop while in Alice Springs!
I believe we showed what the bike is capable of but unfortunately all the stars didn’t align to get the results we all deserved!
On this my time with Ducati has come to an end & can now put 100% focus into my business which has been growing the past 3 years in Mildura!
