Summer is coming, and that means it's road trip season!

Before you head off, it's a good idea to check over the essentials in your car to avoid any unexpected stops.

- make an emergency supplies list (food, blanket, tools, fire extinguisher, extra fluids, jump starters, first aid kit, etc.)

- check all the vehicle fluids under the bonnet (transmission fluid, brake fluid, power steering fluid, coolant, engine oil and windscreen wiper fluid)

- check outside the vehicle (wiper blades, tyre tread, lights, globes, horn)

- make an emergency supplies list (food, blanket, tools, fire extinguisher, spare fluids, jump starters and first aid kit etc.)
