Another one bites the dust. Another painted steel trailer gone to the big scrap yard, beyond saving at only 12 years of age.
So Sam had the good sense to go for a new 7x5 galvanised trailer to replace his dangerous rust bucket that was an accident waiting to happen . His new galvanised trailer will more than likely last a lifetime. A hot dip galvanised trailer is the way to go if you want to beat the rust .

Need a small light farm trailer to go behind the ATV buggy or even the lawn mower? Then we have you covered with 2 models with 10 inch knobby wheels to get you through the paddocks.
The galvanised heavy duty 5x3 $2450 with a tall 900mm cage is popular with the farmers for transporting new calves. Hot dip galvanised. This model can be road registered with optional road wheels .
Tare weight 180kg. GVM 650kg.
The other model is a lighter 5x3 in painted steel hammertone charcoal $1600.
Weight approx 90kg.

The trailer is probably the most abused piece of equipment on the road. Travelling many km with heavy loads and not receiving much love or maintenance.
Preventative maintenance is the key. Give the wheel a monthly wobble to check bearing play. Adjust if necessary. If you do a lot of miles with your trailer grease or change the bearings annually. Boat trailers have regular wheel bearing issues as they are dunked in saltwater. Change them annually. Use bearing buddies to keep grease up to the bearings.
Grease up the grease ni***es with a grease gun to prolong life of nylon bushes in springs.
Climb under your trailer regularly to inspect for broken or cracked springs and U bolts, loose bolts . Check the tyres for any wear or cracking due to old age.
Here’s a few photos of why trailer maintenance is so important to prevent failures of wheel bearings, broken springs, 15 year old tyres disintegrating ready to blow out on your next journey . Look closely at the cracks in the photo. Plenty of tread but serious cracking.

3 trailers supplied and ready to go to work with our local outdoor education groups. Coastlife school based in
our own south coast region purchased a new 7x5 galvanised trailer with fabricated racks to carry their many surfboards for surfing group lessons.
You will see this trailer loaded with surfboards on our local beaches between Tathra and Pambula Beach.
Action Learning Initiatives better known as ALI outdoor education group in Jindabyne have also just purchased 2 new 8x5 braked 1400kg GVM trailers to transport their many canoes on Snowy River paddling adventures with school groups. You might pass this trailer along the Barry Way near Jindabyne following the mighty Snowy River.

It’s firewood season and we have the perfect trailer to go get you a big load of wood and keep you legal with your cargo load weights.
This single axle 7x5 with a mechanical over ride disc brake can carry a legal payload of 970kg. It’s a 1400kg GVM (gross vehicle mass). The trailer weighs 430kg. So you subtract 430kg from 1400kg and that gives you a legal payload 970kg you can carry in the trailer.
Most Unbraked 7x5 trailers can only carry 400-500kg of cargo before your overloaded as all unbraked trailers have a GVM of 750kg. If your overloaded you have no insurance and risk a hefty fine if the boys in blue pull you over.
Several of these braked trailers are in stock. Also comes in a braked 8x5. 1400gvm single axle .
Add a removable ramp so you ramp you can transport your ride on lawn mower for a service or load up the motorbikes for a weekend away.
