OFFICIAL NOTICE from Sutherland Shire Council

Following a council resolution and effective immediately, access to designated car parking locations in Cronulla is hereby RESTRICTED.

​Pursuant to ongoing environmental concerns and local resident complaints regarding noise and emissions pollution, use of these locations is now limited EXCLUSIVELY to Battery Electric Vehicles (EVs). All other vehicle classes, including Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles, are PROHIBITED from entry and parking. Strict enforcement is in place, and violations may result in parking infringements, formal directives to vacate, and towing.

​All regular parking regulations remain in effect. For enquiries, please contact the Council.

Just got word from the council—going forward, Coffee & Cars meetups must be subscription-based and officially registered. Apparently, it's all about 'community engagement' and 'regulatory compliance.
