A huge thank you to Sam from Titan Concrete, Melton City Council and the EPA for this magnificent wall after more than a year of raising the dust problem.
That pretend wall is as good as hanging your G strings there to collect the dust what a f@cking joke!!!
From the beginning, it has been made clear that proper containment was needed along this boundary to stop dust and material escaping from Titan’s site. After waiting more than a year, looking at what has now been installed, I genuinely do not see how this is going to adequately contain anything. It is basically pi***ng in the wind.
The photos and video speak for themselves. Dust is still settling over neighbouring property, equipment and surfaces on our side of the fence.
If Titan is actually serious about fixing this, the barrier needs to be high enough and extend far enough along the fence line to contain the material within Titan’s property, rather than allowing it to continue travelling onto neighbouring properties.
Melton City Council and the EPA have both been made aware of this problem. More than a year later, we are still dealing with it.
And this is not just about a bit of dust or appearances. GT Burgers has been unable to trade from this location while this contamination issue remains unresolved. We need to be able to safely use our own property and get GT Burgers trading again.
So thank you again, Sam, Melton Council and the EPA. If this wall is supposed to demonstrate a sincere attempt to finally address the problem, please get a bit more serious about it. Make it high enough, extend it across the affected fence line and actually contain Titan’s material on Titan’s side of the fence.
After more than a year, perhaps we can move beyond the decorative stage and actually fix the problem.
