We hope that recreational riders of all ages and skill levels will have access to this facility. While we don’t yet know all the details, we’re excited about the prospect of having a dedicated, legal area for our community—and for visitors from near and far—to enjoy riding together.

Off-road motorsport is coming back to Frankston City!

Frankston City is set to rev up its visitor economy and local recreation scene with the redevelopment of the Frankston Moto Park in Old Wells Road, Seaford.

Led by motorsport pros with a strong local connection, Yarrive Konsky and Cheyne Boyd, the upgraded facility will be a safe, inclusive space for riders of all ages and abilities.

The project is expected to take about 10 months (subject to approvals) and is expected to deliver a major economic boost through events, hospitality and tourism, strengthening Frankston’s growing reputation as the sporting hub of Melbourne’s south-east.

Council endorsed the new operators following an EOI process. Originally opened in 1980, the Frankston Motorcycle Park was previously operated for recreational use by the volunteer-run Frankston City Motorcycle Club.

The new operators plan to continue to work with the club to support community recreational riding opportunities.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Just making a post to let everyone know the EOI process is still ongoing with Council at this stage.

No real updates to give but letting you know we are still hanging in there working in the background for this community asset!

FRANKSTON MOTORCYCLE PARK UPDATE! 🏍️

I’ve had a lot of people reach out to me about the Motorcycle Park – and I’m finally able to share an update! 🙌

Frankston City Council is excited to support the next chapter of the Frankston Motorcycle Park and is now seeking an experienced and visionary operator to collaborate with the Club and lead the Park into its next era.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in revitalising a much-loved facility and re-establishing it as a premier destination for motorcycling in Victoria.

It is with a heavy heart that FCMP has been made aware of Charles Medwin's passing. Charlie was one of the founders of our club and a fierce supporter for people of all ages to have a legal area to enjoy off road recreational riding. Even when not on the committee, Charlie continued to be an amazing support for the club, his commitment never waivered. Thank you will never be enough for all his efforts and dedication over the years. He will be sorely missed by so many. You were one of a kind, may you Rest in Peace x

Edit to add: Charlie's family have provided the following link for those who cannot make it to his funeral https://shorturl.at/MQpig

Joint statement with Frankston City Council.

It's going to be a process but we will get there.

Once we have more information to provide, we will make a post and try our best to keep everyone updated.

Frankston City Council has agreed to work with the Frankston City Motorcycle Club to explore options to reopen Frankston City Motorcycle Park.

14/08/2024

Thank you to Frankston City Council who put this on the meeting agenda on Monday night. We would also like to thank Glenn Aitken for using his voice to support our club and acknowledging our long standing history.
The vote to reopen the park as a recreational facility was unanimous amongst all the Councillors which was great to see. The process may take some time but we cant wait to see all your friendly faces when the gates finally reopen.
We know its been difficult for some over the last nearly 7 years but we cant wait to have the recreational riding community back at this community space. We will keep you updated as much as possible.

It is with deep sadness that FCMP advise the passing of Steve Clough in April. A much loved husband, father and friend. Steve was a friendly face at the track and at one point was on the committee donating his time and energy. We are so thankful for his contributions over the years and are so lucky to have met such a kind hearted, genuine person. He will be very much missed by all. Condolences to Tammy, Peter and Sonia during this difficult time.
