šø Calling on our Marina & Hastings/local community!
We're looking for a little help uncovering the history of Westernport Marina.
We're trying to find out when the marina was first flooded (opened to the water) during its construction, not the public boat ramp. We've recently come across some incredible old archive photos, but unfortunately none of them are dated.
Asking around, we've had some people say it happened in the late 1970s, while others remember it being in the early 1980s. We'd love to find out the correct year, or even better, the exact date.
If anyone has old photographs, newspaper clippings, documents or personal memories from the construction or opening of the marina, we'd love to hear from you. Every piece of information helps us preserve the history of Westernport Marina.
