1966 Ford Australia Delivered Mustang.. A random meeting in the local car park with one of our existing Australian Delivered Mustang Owners happens to find and confirm for this new owner... another 1966 Ford Australia Delivered Mustang in Queensland.
A retirement present for the current happy owner. A few mods include 600 Holley, electronic fuel pump, electronic ignition and power steering.

Does this 1966 Ford Australia Delivered Mustang look familar to you? This info and pic was recently sent in...lets see if we can find it...
.."Please excuse the bad photo. It’s an old 35mm slide held up to the window & a photo taken from my phone. The paint work looks various shades of red which it wasn't.
I know it’s a long shot but would love to be reunited with my old '66 Mustang I had. I think I purchased it early 1970's from the original owner. It was a 289 auto with centre consol.
The car was purchased new from BS Stillwell in Kew Victoria. It was an original RHD car from new. It had Aunger mags, & we fitted head rests from a HQ holden which worked very well. It was registered in Victoria JRJ.401 which no longer exists. I purchased it from an airline pilot who lived in Blackburn. I sold it to I think was Rod Murphy who had a car yard at Black Rock, Beaumaris area. May have traded as Murphy Brothers. Unfortunately he smashed it & sold it a panel beating teacher at the Batman Institute. The car was rebuilt & used by him for a while & then sold on again as the young chap who bought it contacted me to say he had it.
I don’t remember what year that was but lost sight of it after that. Unfortunately I do not have any VIN for it. Does this look familiar to anyone especially with the headrests?"

Hi all i recently had a query about this engine bay stamping on the passenger/LHS shock tower.
Could everyone check and post in comments if they have a similar code/stamp on their Ford Australia Delivered Stangs.
You dont need to post a pic if you dont want just a yes or no and what Ford Plant in the USA did it come from so we can get an idea of some stats.

Here's a 1966 Ford Australia Delivered Mustang that was originally sold new in Adelaide Sth Australia. These photos were sent in by Thomas, a past owner. who purchased the car in 1975 for @$4000.
Apart from the vinyl roof he had installed and hotwire mag wheels the mustang presents in original condition including the original Air Cleaner with the snorkel delete from Ford Australia. It also still features the original number plates from when it was first registered in South Australia.
