Sometimes the repair isn’t the hard part… fixing the last repair is.

This Yamaha WR250F came in with a carby jet that had been damaged and snapped off, making removal a little more interesting than usual.

A bit of patience, the right tools and we got it out without causing further damage.

Metal shavings found in the oil are never a good sign.

This CRF450 came in with major engine damage, and once we got into it, the oil told the story pretty quickly.

If your bike starts making unusual noises, loses power or just doesn’t feel right — don’t keep riding it. Getting it checked early can be the difference between a repair and a full engine rebuild.

This 37-year-old Honda VT250 Spada is in for a carburettor and fuel system clean.

The funny noise is actually the CV carb diaphragm/vacuum doing its thing — it’s old, it’s noisy, but it’s not a problem.

37 years later and still keeping us entertained.

SUZUKI GSX-R750 – WON’T REV PAST 6,500RPM

This GSX-R750 came into the workshop after sitting for quite a long time.

Once we got into it, we noticed a strange issue — it wouldn’t rev past around 6,500RPM.

After some diagnosing, we found the ECM had previously been played with, causing the bike to behave exactly like you can see in the video.

Another good example of why proper fault finding matters — sometimes the problem isn’t where you’d expect it to be.

Workshop Find of the Day!

This bike came in for a service, and we discovered the tip of the idle screw had snapped off and was lodged inside the carburettor.

Next to it is a brand-new screw for comparison… now the challenge is getting the broken piece out without damaging the carb.
