🐎 FORD MUSTANG S550 GT 5.0 V8 🐎

This 2015 Mustang GT rolled into the workshop looking for more sound, more response, and more power.

Fitted with:
🔧 Performance Intake
🔧 Decatted Headers
🔧 Custom ECU Calibration
🔧 Pops & Crackles

Starting from 281 kW & 466 Nm (377 WHP / 344 lb-ft) and after careful calibration on our hub dyno, we achieved:

📈 306 kW & 507 Nm
📈 410 WHP / 374 lb-ft

That's a gain of:
⚡ +25 kW (+33 WHP)
⚡ +41 Nm (+30 lb-ft)

The result? Sharper throttle response, stronger mid-range torque, and an aggressive V8 soundtrack with crisp crackles and pops on overrun that perfectly complements the naturally aspirated Coyote platform. 🔥

Nothing beats the sound of a 5.0L Coyote breathing through decatted headers and pulling hard all the way to redline. 🇺🇸🐎

This Cupra Ateca VZX came into the shop completely stock, laying down 220 kW & 410 Nm on our Hub Dyno.

We fitted our Custom Stage 1 ECU & TCU package alongside an APR Intake, and thanks to the Ateca running the tuneable DQ381 gearbox (unlike the MK8R, S3 8Y, Leon & Formentor platforms), we were able to fully optimise both engine and transmission calibration to unlock its true potential 👊

Even under tough 29°C room temperatures, where these cars are well known for heatsoak on the factory intercooler, we carefully calibrated the setup to keep power delivery strong and consistent.

📈 Final Results — Stage 1
280 kW & 490 Nm

For comparison, a Stage 2 MK7 Golf R on the same dyno produced 271 kW & 490 Nm.

These EA888 Gen 4 platforms are seriously impressive, showing just how far the newer generation has come and outperforming many of the older Gen 3 IS38 setups 💪
