The tooth belt and spark plugs are ticked as being replaced in the service book. My gut feeling was correct as they were not replaced only quoted therefore the VW dealer made a mistake by ticking those boxes. This deal fell over as the small dealer selling the Golf did not want to spend the money to replace these items that were due.

Fitting new brakes is a part of my business. New rotors, brake pads and sensors if required. Cleaning and lubing the caliper slide pins if very important to obtain even wear. Also bedding in the new brakes is critical for a good firm brake pedel and response.

Late model commercial vehicles are a big part of my inspection business. 90% plus are still under new car warranty but i am still hired to inspect them, especially from interstate buyers. From batteries failing the load test, boarder line unroadworthy tyres and brakes to half the car being resprayed. These particular cars checked out well but all of these models are not without their common problems.

Isuzu D-Max 2020. Very good work utes but unfortunately on this inspection there was a major rust issue. It was most likely parked outdoors close to the beach. Unusual to find this on a few year old vehicle but was worth the inspection fee. 2nd 4x4 i have seen with a major rust issue this year.
