Finally!
Got some spare time so I can post a couple of new additions to the model collection that I’ve received from the amazing “King and Country” range of Toy Soldiers and Vehicles.
I’ve added the Newly released WW2 British Airborne Jeep and 6Pdr Anti Tank Gun and also a M151A1 Ford “MUTT” recon Vehicle of the IDF, technically not a Jeep but I like the MUTT’s and the HUMVEE’s and they are all sought of related😉 so in the cabinet they go! Albeit not on the Jeep shelf…😬
I’ve been asking K&C to do a USAAF Jeep with a bomber crew on board for a while now… maybe one day!
Till then, Enjoy!
Cheers,
Gino.

Hi all,
Always like to keep tinkering on my projects when I have the time to do so!
Now with the Haflinger pretty much done…for now😎 I’ve turned my attention back to the G Wagon.
As the weather here in Melbourne is starting to get colder I’m concentrating on the things I can do inside the factory where it’s just a bit warmer than outside!
I’ve started to partially restore a German Bundeswehr SEM25 Radio that was used from the early seventies right up to the late eighties in some German Vehicles including the G Wagon.
I’ve had to source and import parts from 3 different countries to make up a complete unit which gained the attention of Customs officials both here and in Germany.
The parts had to be made non operational before shipping from Germany and Poland but the Italians were like “Whatever “😆and shipped them anyway with no issues.
Just waiting on a couple of leads and an external speaker and it should then be pretty much complete albeit non working… but I might install a Bluetooth speaker into the unit just so I can blare out some military chatter and my favourite German song “Erika”😉🇩🇪
Till next time,
Cheers,
Gino.

Hi all,
Well it’s arrived! Actually a couple of weeks ago but as usual have been busy with life etc…
My new seat covers, canopy and rear tarp from Haflinger Verdecke Sahler in Austria 🇦🇹!
Super happy with the fit and the quality of the finish of the items, they are made from the same rubberised material as the original and look fantastic!
I’ve only installed the canopy and tarp temporarily as I’m still having to paint the seat frames so I can also install the seat cushions… one day🙄
Highly recommend these guys for their communication and ease of ordering and shipping was cheap to Australia!
Cheers

Hi all…
Been super busy back at work since returning from the Corowa Event…
Haven’t done much in the way of tinkering with my MV’s but I will have an update soon on the new canopy/hood for the Haflinger as soon as it arrives!
So just to keep the page ticking over as Facebook constantly reminds me to do, I’ve taken some pics of some of my model collection as I’ve squeezed a couple more little Haffys into the cabinet…
Sorry about the poor quality of the pics!
P.S… I’ve included some pictures of my other models too.
The models are just placed temporarily on display at the moment as I really need to finish the upstairs display rooms so I can get all the rest of my collection unboxed!
Anyone else collect the miniature models of their real vehicles?
Enjoy and cheers🍻

Hi all,
Well it all came together at the last minute and I really mean the last minute as I was painting and assembling Haffy bits with only hours to spare till I left for Corowa the next morning.
I managed to give the Haflinger a bit of a freshen up and it came up really well so much so that it was a big hit at Corowa and I had many conversations with people who showed a lot of interest in it.
One of the highlights for me whilst doing some picking during the week up there was finding a Swiss Army Jerry can with the same year stamped into it as my ex Swiss Army Haflinger…1968!
What are the chances?
So I grabbed that and now it’s on the Haffy where it belongs…There was another really nice Haflinger and its owner Mark was a really nice bloke who was only too happy to impart his knowledge of all things Haffy to me, thanks Mark!
Next year’s theme for Corowa will be the “Year of the Ute”
And I reckon the G Wagon fits into that category so looks like I’ll be burning some more midnight oil and guaranteed it’ll be a last minute rush again to have the “G” ready for next year😉
Well that’s it for now…
Enjoy the pics,
Cheers 👍

One week to go to our big military vehicle event in Corowa NSW.
I’ve had the tray sides the front bumper and some smaller parts of the Haflinger sand blasted and have managed to weld up the canopy frame back together.
The weather hasn’t been on my side but I did manage to give everything a coat of paint and it’s all starting to come together for the event.
Also attached the rifle holders (will take them off after Corowa and re paint them) and started the repairs to the front of the vehicle…
The race is on… I might even get to do a bit more painting before I leave! Fingers crossed…
Cheers.

Hi all…
I finally received my canopy frame from the States (as my one was missing) and what a drama it was! But it’s here now albeit in 6 pieces! The frame was cut up because to ship it complete from the States was going to cost me $2500US!!!
So I had it shipped across America to a good friend instead and he saved me $1900US by cutting it up to a more cost effective size to ship here, thanks Don!🍻
It only took a week to arrive once posted and I’ve gotten straight into resurrecting the frame back to its one piece original form.
In a way it wasn’t too bad a thing having the frame arrive in pieces as it gave me some much needed motivation to finally go out and buy my own Mig Welder to complete the job of reassembling the frame!
Ok… so why go through all the dramas and cost of getting this canopy frame shipped over when I’m sure l could have sourced a civilian canopy frame here in Australia? Well remember my Haflinger is an ex Swiss Army Contract Vehicle and these machines had their canopy frames made out or rectangular tubing as opposed to the round tubing used on most of the civilian Haflingers and America was the only place l could find one!
I like to keep my vehicle’s as original as possible… hence all the dramas!🙄
More updates soon,
Cheers.👍

Ok! Well I really can’t help myself when it comes to having some spare room in the factory as the need to fill it always gets the better of me!!!
Say hello to my little friend 😆
Yes it goes and I’ve done some hot laps around the factory complex… plan to paint it up to match the Hafflinger and strap it on the back…the purists will hate it… but I’m sure I’ll get a laugh or two when I’m trundling down the main rd heading to Maccas!😆

Sad but necessary day yesterday… sold two of my Haflingers as they were no longer needed now that I have the Swiss Army Haflinger which is a complete going unit and just requires a bit of a freshen up and a few bits to finish it off.
If I had the room I would have kept them both as between the two of them I would have have been able to have made one very complete and working civilian Haffy.
Good thing is they are going to a great home in Tasmania and will be lovingly restored by their new owner.
Ok so once they are picked up I’ll have a bit of room in the factory…
Stay tuned…😬🙄😎

Hi all…
Last day of my Xmas break…😕
But it was a productive one!
Spray painted the 12inch rims, installed the fantastic looking tyres l got from Bernard in Colac Victoria onto the rims and only pinched one tube🙄l then swapped out the 13inch Fiat rims and tyres that were on the Hafflinger back to the 12inch originals…looks fantastic and drives great too with them on.
Getting used to the Swiss Army Green colour… totally different to the olive drabs I’m used to.
I was asked why I paint the rims after I’ve attached the tyres onto them…if I paint them first I usually end up scratching them, I’m the worst at tyre installation!
That’s it for now, hopefully start on the bodywork soon!
Cheers
