JASON’S AE86 — RESTORATION PROGRESS

Plenty of progress happening on Jason’s AE86.

The shell has been taken right back to bare metal, fully deoxidised and sealed in RestoFinish after last until we put the shell into epoxy to give it the best possible foundation moving forward.

The rear quarters have been removed so we can get right into the areas you normally never see. Any rust has been properly repaired, everything has been stripped back to bare metal, epoxied and then finished in PPG Refinish ANZ body colour before the new quarters are refitted.

It’s the work underneath that makes the difference.

This is the extent we go to with our restorations at CRSM Painting & Restorations — not just making them look good on the outside, but making sure the areas that will eventually be hidden are repaired, protected and finished properly as well.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has an eye for detail and wants to be part of a friendly workshop where quality comes first.

1969 SHELBY GT500 DRAGPACK — RESTOMOD BUILD

We’re excited to have Craig Dean’s stunning 1969 Shelby GT500 DRAGPACK from Mustang Motorsport in the workshop for what will be a very special restomod build.

This iconic Shelby is set to receive a serious modern performance package in keeping with the original car, replacing the super cobra jet engine with a 211 Shelby supercharged Cobra Jet 5.4 crate motor, further upgrades S550 Mustang front end steering and suspension componitenry Shelby brake package also a modern nicety is a Magnum transmission — bringing modern power, handling and drivability to one of Shelbys most legendary muscle cars.

This won’t be an off-the-shelf conversion — the entire front end will be fully custom mounted and engineered for Melbourne roads which we pride ourselves on.

Mark’s Holden HJ Monaro has arrived at CRSM for a complete rotisserie restoration.

This one will be taken right back to the bare shell and restored from the ground up, with no corners cut. From rust repairs and fabrication through to panel work, body finishing and paint, every part of the build will receive the attention it deserves.

There’s something pretty special about bringing an old Monaro back to its former glory, and we’re looking forward to seeing this one come together.

Plenty of work ahead, but the end result will be well worth it.

Steve’s 1970 Dodge R/T Challenger from crossovercarconversions

Some awesome progress on Steve’s 1970 Dodge R/T Challenger! 🔥

The roof and rear quarters have now been removed, ready for the installation of brand-new panels. Up front, all the panels are off so we can straighten the chassis rails and carry out the necessary structural repairs.

There’s been a huge amount of work going into this build already, and it’s exciting to see it all coming together. We can’t wait to show you more as this classic Mopar gets one step closer to hitting the road again.
