5,000+ KM. Countless memories. Another great adventure.

Toni on her CJ700B-A Explorer and Clive on his BMW rig set off on a 5,000km+ round trip, putting their outfits through some serious kilometres and making the journey one to remember.

Along the way, they stopped in for the Border Run Rally, joining around 200 like-minded adventurers and catching up with fellow CJ riders Sheila and Peter on their CJ700B-A Explorers.

From long stretches of open road to meeting up with fellow riders, this is exactly what the CJ700B-A Explorer is built for — getting out there, going the distance and sharing the adventure.

For those not in the know, the annual Border Run (also known as "The Pudding") is a long-standing motorcycle rally. Riders travel across the Nullarbor to meet at Border Village (near Eucla) on the WA and SA border.

Peter and Sheila recently completed a 3266km round trip to attend the 50th anniversary event that took place on Saturday 1 August 2026.

In a message from Sheila, accompanied by fantastic pics and videos: "... [with] over 200 bikes there, the three CJ700's elicited a large amount of interest. They ran like a dream with no issues at all... every time we stopped anywhere we were surrounded by people asking questions."

Congratulations Peter and Sheila on yet another fun adventure!

700 KM IN AND MAKING MEMORIES

When David and Megan from Wollongong took delivery of their new CJ700B-A Explorer, we think their first messages summed it up perfectly:

“The most beautiful bike we have ever seen. Thanks so much... [and] Every house should look like this.”

And now they’ve almost completed stage 1 running-in before the first service:

“Well we are cold and wet. BUT happy as. 700(km) up and an oil change when we get home. Bloody freezing today. She is running like a dream...”
