🚗 If you have a test coming up, please reach out to us asap! With drs appointments for Sophie, public holidays and extra VicRoads testing, our books are filling up very quickly!

🚗 If you have a birthday coming up in 2026 get down to VicRoads asap and get your test booked. The books for December are open and filling super quick!

With good news always comes bad news 😅

Sophie fistula (access site for dialysis) isn’t working as well as it should be, which is causing her kidney failure to be worse, therefore making her sicker.

She now has a surgical consult in Melb on Tuesday 20th, so if you have a driving lesson on this day with Sophie or David, we will be in contact with you in the next few days to reschedule you!

Thank you in advance for being patient with us as we reschedule these appointments and sorry for any inconvenience this may cause!

Sophie had a 6 month post hemi-thyroidectomy appointment in Melbourne yesterday and we’re very pleased to hear that she is still cancer free! No new growth and no new nodules! 👏🏻✨

She will continue to have 6 monthly ultrasounds and check ups to make sure nothing nasty starts to grow again! 🤞🏻

Just a friendly reminder that whilst we are driving lesson we CANNOT answer the phone to make appointments, on Wednesdays during testing, our phones are required to be turned off, so we are unreachable on test days!
Sometimes we are in lesson from 8am to 6pm, so replies can be slow, and we get that. If you’d like to leave a message with your name, return phone number and then some info about auto or manual, and then days/times that suit you we’ll get back to you when we can. Otherwise please send the phone numbers a text message with the same relevant information.

If it’s been a few days and you still haven’t heard, ring or send another massage to just bump us again.

We are doing our best to get back to people in a timely manner, but sometimes end up playing phone tag!

☀️ DAYLIGHT SAVINGS! ☀️

☀️ In just under 2 weeks daylight saving kicks in! This means darker mornings but lighter nights!

☀️ So good for after tea walks… not so great for learners who still need night drives!

☀️ Don’t forget, each learner under the age of 21, MUST complete a minimum of 20 hours night driving! These hours are so much easier to get in during the colder months than the warmer months

☀️ Dave is available to do night drives, but these lessons will increase to $100 per hour from our standard $70 per hour lesson base rate
Please note; Sophie does not do night drives due to dialysis and having kids

Do you have a test tomorrow or next week?

Just a reminder that Soph is unavailable with surgical follow up appointments that can’t be changed, so Dave is flying solo with testing!

What does this mean for you? 👇🏻

👉🏻 Unfortunately this means we cannot offer lessons on these days (this will have already been discussed with anyone who has testing these days)

👉🏻 You MUST meet Dave at VicRoads! He is back to back testing, so will NOT have time to come and collect you or take you home!

👉🏻 Please make arrangements to be dropped off at VicRoads 15mins prior to your test time, to make sure you have time to set up your mirrors and go through the pre drive check list prior to your booked test time!

👉🏻 Payment is due BEFORE your test starts, if you are doing a bank transfer please show a receipt to Dave so that he knows you’ve made that payment.

👉🏻 Remember your hazards test and log book MUST be signed off/passed before test day. If these aren’t done you WILL NOT sit the test!

Soph apologises that she cannot be there to help on test day, unfortunately these drs clinics only run on Wednesdays 😓

🚗 Both Sophie and David are booked out this week

🚗 Sophie is away next week with multiple drs appointments in Melb, so has very limited spots she could squeeze people in for

🚗 David also has very limited spots left for next week

🚗 Next available date with Maryborough VicRoads for testing, when we were there last week, was November 4th, so this could definitely be out until November 11th by now!

🚗 If you have a birthday coming up, please get down to the branch to book in your test ASAP!

🚗 The book for the 1st week of December is also open!

🚗 More housekeeping for 2026 🚗

🚗 VicRoads has now opened the book for the start of December, so if you have a birthday in early December, head down and get your test booked!
-reminder you can only book these test physically in at the branch!

🚗 Sophie is unavailable for testing Wednesday 23rd and Wednesday 30th due to surgical follow up appointments that aren’t able to be changed. All testing will be with David, and means unfortunately that any tests on these days, we won’t be able to provide a lesson the hour prior to your test like usual, so please reach out and we’ll do our best to get you in for a lesson in the days prior! Apologies for this!
