This wagon came in with a nasty vibration and noise in the front. We found that the harmonic balancer was dangerously close to letting go. Advised not to drive and wait for the part to arrive. At the same time, the customer asked us to replace the front bar she had just painted. 👌

We've seen some things this week.
A Cruze had come in with a suspected CV shaft, took her for a test drive, and check, to find it had buckled not one but two rims. A head gasket which wasn't, checked out to be an EGR cooler issue. Lots of servicing and maintenance work. And chased a rough idle on a Holden Colorado, which led to no pulse on injector 2 & 3, found no power coming out of the ECM - which means sending the computer away.
It's never a dull day!

We were tasked with the job of fixing the linkage/selector rod in the LTD. The old one was good, but it needed a bit more engineering to make it select through the gears and not jam. The steering shaft bush is also collapsed and has quite a lot of excessive movement, making it that little bit harder to get right. Took it for a test drive. She's selecting gears much better now👌

We've been busy. Gary has barely had time to scratch himself this week! (Sorry love) It's just been big days.
From fitting a Camshaft, lifters and timing gear to 250 xflow and running it in, diagnosing a fuel issue in a Mazda 323, which had clay in the bottom of the tank, restricting and clogging the pump pickup. Replacing a rocker cover gasket and O2 sensors on an FG to late nights sourcing a fuel leak on an NP300, servicing, and many more little jobs I snuck in.
The things I make him do! And it's only halfway through the week.

We picked up this trailer a few days ago as one of the wheels decided to vacate. A couple of days for parts to arrive and straight into it today. We'll be doing a full run over this trailer to make sure every other wheel isn't going a trip down the road. Checking wheel bearings, brakes and mounts.
