Big news for the Victorian High Country!
The 2026 Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour will visit Mansfield and Mt Buller on 14–15 August 2026, bringing the iconic “People’s Cup” to the region as part of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.
Great to see MDRC President Leanne Backwell representing the club & region at the official launch.
The Lexus Melbourne Cup Tour has travelled more than one million kilometres since launching in 2003 and visits communities across Australia and overseas to celebrate local culture, community spirit, and racing history.

The Mansfield District Racing Club Victorian Fashions Showcase is going virtual!

MDRC sincerely thanks everyone who submitted an entry for our fashions event, originally scheduled to be held at the January 10th Mansfield Cup. With such fantastic entries already received — and with the prizes and sash ready — we’re excited to announce that the competition will go ahead in a virtual format.

All entries will be forwarded to our three judges for scoring.
The entrant with the highest overall score will be crowned our winner and awarded the official sash.

We can’t wait to celebrate the style and creativity of our entrants — stay tuned for the results!

Cancelled
The Mansfield Cup race meeting on Saturday 10 January is cancelled due to bushfires currently active in the region.
The Mansfield Racecourse is a place of refuge for evacuated horses with a number of yards and water available.

(Time allowed for outfit changes should entrants wish to do so)
