Yeah I know it’s been a while since our last post, we have been busy in the garage and elsewhere.
Our detonated engine left the sump in somewhat better ways, now turned into a dry sump after a bit of tedious work with the tig torch. Also progress is go on The Booroolite Bandit with the new independent front end in place along with its power plant and transmission, the can of worms have definitely cracked open with this one.

Time for an update on events.
During our last test and tune day working on brakes, suspension and fuel issues we unfortunately detonated a piston due to fuel delivery failure. This in turn knocked and spun a big end.
Results were not pretty.
With Challenge Bathurst only weeks away we found ourselves all rubbered up and no engine to blow!

Hoping it’s safe now to venture back out into the garage. Our next project has been delivered for us, the scope for this client is to massage this 5.0 Fairlane or at least as much as we can into this 34 Ford Bonneville. Not going to be a 5 minute build as most parts and materials are on a 12 week wait list.
