I'm proud to announce that I’ve made my first batch of heavy duty cargo racks to suit the Kawasaki Vulcan S (EN650) and they’re packed and ready to ship out.
Introducing “Fitz Rack”. Ordinary name, great product. That’s just how I roll.
I have 2 different designs, and the first one goes by the equally exciting name “Standard”.
This shape is to suit hard saddle bags with gullwing style lids that open upward/inward like the Viking Warrior bags.
The lid needs to hinge all the way round to the fender to open fully. The angled sides of the Standard Rack allow this and also protects the paint on your bike.
The other shape will be called “Extra Large”.
This design is for the serious solo tourer looking for the maximum cargo space and weight capacity mounted directly to the frame at 5 points. This shape can support my entire 95kg body weight standing on top without bending or buckling. Compare that to the 2.5kg maximum load rating of the curved solo rack Kawaski offer with just 2 small screws down the centre.
Almost all saddle bag mounting frames can be fitted directly to both racks as they use the same mounting points. In some cases I may need to tailor a package to suit. Please contact me if your bike has other non standard equipment fitted.
Fitting is very easy and only requires simple tools including hex keys and sockets. The whole thing can be done in about 15-20 minutes. No cutting required.
Once fitted the seat can easily be removed using the same bolt. The OEM bolt for the seat will be reused so you can still use the hex key behind the side cover.
Due to the limited release numbers of this batch, it will be on a first serve basis. Please message me direct to secure your intention to buy and tell me your delivery postcode. I will then be able to quote delivery and send details for you to make payment. There will be a grace period where I hold your part, however sale is not final until payment made.
Once this first batch has sold out and I have enough interested buyers I can make the second batch which will take approximately 2-3 weeks.
These racks are made entirely in the Hunter Valley/Newcastle region of Australia. This has been an idea I've had for many years after discovering the OEM cargo racks are not practical and I'm now proud to share this great product with you.
