⚡ WE’RE HIRING | Trades Assistant – Electrical Experience

Midcoast Truck Bodies is looking for a motivated and reliable Trades Assistant with strong electrical experience to join our busy bodyshop team in Macksville.

Working alongside our qualified Bodymakers and Auto Electricians, you’ll assist with the installation, maintenance, repair and testing of electrical systems across commercial vehicles and equipment.

We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ Previous Trades Assistant, Electrical Assistant or similar experience
✔️ A strong understanding of automotive, commercial vehicle or industrial electrical systems
✔️ Experience with basic electrical testing and diagnostics
✔️ Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and schematics
✔️ A current Driver’s Licence
✔️ A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Heavy vehicle experience and a Forklift Licence would be advantageous, but aren’t essential.

Midcoast Truck Bodies is looking for an organised and proactive Procurement & Warehouse Coordinator to join our fabrication workshop team in Macksville.

This is a key role connecting our suppliers, warehouse and fabrication team to ensure the materials, components and parts we need are available to keep production moving.

The role includes:
✔️ Purchasing and procurement
✔️ Supplier management and purchase orders
✔️ Receiving and managing incoming goods
✔️ Inventory and stock control
✔️ Coordinating materials for our fabrication teams
✔️ Monitoring lead times and potential supply issues

We’re looking for someone with previous experience in procurement, purchasing, warehousing, stores or inventory management, ideally within manufacturing, fabrication, engineering, automotive or heavy vehicles.

You’ll be joining a growing, family-owned business offering secure employment, modern workshop facilities and opportunities for professional development.

Midcoast Trucks is looking for an experienced Motor Vehicle Log Team Inspector to join our growing team in Macksville.

Working across a diverse range of heavy vehicles, you’ll be responsible for vehicle inspections, roadworthiness assessments, compliance checks, vehicle processing and documentation, as well as identifying mechanical and safety issues.

To be considered, you’ll need:
✔️ Minimum 5 years’ mechanical experience
✔️ Strong knowledge of vehicle inspections and compliance
✔️ Heavy Vehicle Inspection qualification to NHVR standards
✔️ Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence
✔️ A strong commitment to safety, quality and attention to detail

This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing the logging, tracking and compliance of vehicles and equipment across our busy operation.

We’re looking for someone with:
✔️ Previous supervisory experience in transport, fleet, workshop or automotive operations
✔️ Strong organisational and communication skills
✔️ An understanding of vehicle compliance and safety requirements
✔️ Confidence using Microsoft Excel and digital systems
✔️ A Heavy Vehicle Driver Licence

An NHVR Heavy Vehicle Inspection qualification and experience within the heavy vehicle industry would be highly regarded.

✨ Under lights or in the sunshine, MCT 1 and MCT 2 certainly turned a few heads at this year's Casino Truck Show! 🚛
