After 6 years with MAD Engine Solutions, today we say goodbye to Tom.
Tom first came to us as the annoying kid who interviewed for a job and then proceeded to follow us up every week asking why he didn’t get the job, despite the fact that we hadn’t even made a decision. Eventually, we told him to start because he clearly wasn’t going to go away. Turns out, that was one of the best decisions we ever made.
Over the past 6 years, Tom has grown from that persistent young apprentice into a bloody good tradesman, taking over our cylinder head department and becoming the guy behind some of our best “head jobs”.
But more importantly, somewhere along the way, Tom became much more than an employee. He became part of the MAD family, friends with our kids and Jeff’s drinking buddy.
In a fortnight he heads off to Canada for a working holiday and a whole new adventure. While we’re definitely going to miss having him around the workshop, we’re incredibly proud of how far he has come and excited to see what the next chapter brings.
Tom, thank you for the last 6 years, for all the hard work, laughs and memories, and for being such a big part of MAD Engine Solutions and our family.
We wish you nothing but the very best for your Canadian adventure. Stay safe, have an absolute ripper of a time and make the most of every minute.
